F-43 Moto OS is a motorcycle dashboard app. This policy explains what the app accesses, why, and where it goes. The short version: your data stays on your phone — and, if you use Android's own backup, in your own Google Drive. There is no F-43 account, no F-43 server, and no advertising or analytics. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
All of the following is processed on your device. None of it is transmitted to the developer. If you have Android's Auto Backup switched on, Android itself copies app data to your personal Google Drive — see Android backup below.
| Data | Why | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Location (GPS) | Speed, lean/attitude, ride maps, crash location, local weather, nearby fuel | Only to the third-party services listed below, only to provide that feature. Not stored by us. |
| Motion & position sensors | Lean angle, g-force, heading, altitude, crash detection | No |
| Bluetooth | Connect to your ELM327 OBD-II adapter | No |
| Vehicle/engine data | Dashboard, health, diagnostics, ride logs | Stored locally only |
| Ride history & trip logs | Analytics, logbook, export | Local; exported only when you choose (CSV/JSON/GPX) |
| Emergency contacts (name, phone) | SOS button & crash auto-alert | Local. Used only to hand a number to your dialer/SMS app on SOS |
| Photos you pick | Over-speed reminder card; boot screen | Copied to the app's private storage; never uploaded |
api.open-meteo.com) — approximate location for local weather. TermsWhen you trigger SOS, the app opens your phone's own SMS app and dialer pre-filled; you give the final send/call. The message includes a Google Maps link to your last known location. F-43 does not send these messages itself and keeps no copy.
You can revoke any permission in Android Settings; the related feature degrades gracefully.
Android's own Auto Backup is enabled for this app. If you have "Backup by Google One" turned on, Android copies the app's data — your settings, garage, ride history, fuel and maintenance logs, and the photos you picked — to your personal Google Drive, encrypted, and restores it when you reinstall or move to a new phone. This exists so a rider who changes handsets does not lose years of history.
This is done by Android on your behalf, not by us. The copy sits in your own Google account; the developer has no access to it and receives nothing. Ride exports (CSV/JSON/GPX) are deliberately excluded from the backup, since the app can regenerate them.
You can switch it off for this app in Android Settings → System → Backup, or delete the stored copy from the Google One app.
All data lives in the app's storage on your device. To remove it from the phone, clear the app's data in Android Settings or uninstall the app.
Uninstalling may not be the whole story. If Android's Auto Backup is on, a copy can remain in your own Google Drive after the app is gone, and would be restored if you reinstall. To clear that too, delete the app's backup in the Google One app, or turn backup off for F-43 Moto OS before uninstalling.
F-43 Moto OS is intended for licensed motorcycle riders and is not directed at children.
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change.
